I confirm that changing the render method from 'Game' to 'Game Path Tracer' fix this, but add some noises
This is true, the denoiser blurs everything from shadows to reflections. Plus, it affects performance drastically, wthout denoiser, I'm getting 144FPS while playing with Ray-tracing enabled and 12 chunks in render-distance (1080p)
I found that this bug is possible to reproduce in the last stable version 1.16.221:
How to reproduce :
1 : Create a perfetc mirror texture, if you don't wanna create a PBR resource pack, here is one :
2 : Make a flat word
3 : Create a giant cube : 115x20x155 (x/y/z), the cube need to have the mirror texture when Ray-Tracing is switched ON.
4 : Go in the cube you have just created and seal it. (Do not get any light in)
5 : Turn ON Ray-Tracing.
If it works as intended, you will see a dark world (because the cube is seal)
6 To make the bug occur, you'll need to toggle ON/OFF Ray-Tracing fast enough to make the DXR engine to create theses artfects shown before. You can use the "$" key to toggle ON/OFF Ray-Tracing while playing (AZERTY keybord layout because I'm French)
After few tries, it should work.
Bonus step : If it doesn't work in 1.16.221, place some emmissive blocks such as sea lantern or shroomlight; You can download the Main resource pack used here.

I hope that this might help you. Have a great day !
Lol, it's so visually disgusting
With denoiser : Blurry shadows, less details
[media]Without denoiser : More details, noise
