On November 10, my Minecraft doesn't even get to to main screen. So the whole workaround wouldn't even work if I can't get to that point. The game says it's 1.16.40, yet these problems still exist. I got the game through the e-shop and it was working okay the last couple of days.

Thanks Joshua. This issue is tracked at MCPE-62708. If you wait long enough it should load.
It's just Minecraft, and I usually play in portable mode.
