While I understand peoples' viewpoints and reasonings for this, I would say that any game that wants to be fully accepting and welcoming should hold back political slogans and platforms. Everyone is welcome to their own views and beliefs, but the inclusion of "splashes related to the fight against discrimination of black, indigenous, and people of color" really doesn't have a place in a game about mining and crafting, particularly when the slogans chosen have caused so much division in our country and much harm in many ways.

I feel unwelcomed now unless I shout my agreement with these divisive slogans, which I cannot, in good conscience, do.

I will always support everyone around me, but I will not support divisive positions based solely on race, creed, sexuality (which really has no place in a game designed for young audiences), or gender. I will always relate to people based solely on the character of that person and their own behaviour... but that specifically (for instance) goes against the "Be anti-racist" splash, since anti-racist philosophy says you are either racist or actively anti-racist.

These splashes should be removed and I, as well as my family and multiple associations I know of, will be ending our time in this game as well as our realm subscriptions and devoting more of our time to communities where we will be welcomed until Mojang decides to take the needed steps to show us we are still welcome here.

This is where the Feedback website link you gave me brings me. I do not use reddit, so won't be going there. This is where everything on your site leads me to, so this is where I posted it. If this is all the inclusion that we can expect, then I guess mine, my kids and our friends will be leaving.

Thought Mojang was better than that though. Thought Mojang wanted to listen to their userbase. Guess I was wrong for defending yall before.

The bug tracker is staffed mostly by volunteers from the community. We are charged with accepting, enhancing, and managing bug reports. We do not have access to Mojang's internal systems except the bug tracker, and we're pretty much limited to communicating about bugs with Mojang.

Your comments are policy suggestions, not a bug report. As volunteers, we are not authorized to respond to them on Mojang's behalf, and we don't have a channel for passing them to the appropriate staff inside Mojang (and don't even know who that would be, in fact). The abrupt canned response you received should not be taken as indicative of Mojang's attitude toward what you suggest, either for or against it. It is merely indicative of the fact that it isn't a bug report. We use canned messages for efficiency, because without them we couldn't keep up with all the reports we receive.

Our canned message directs you to the Feedback site because that is the place provided for suggestions like yours. Unlike the bug tracker, the Feedback site is staffed by Mojang's Community Management staff, so you'll receive a more meaningful response there.

You said the Feedback site link directed you back here. I assume you followed the "Report Bugs" link. That link is there because many people incorrectly try to report bugs on the Feedback site. A bug is a technical flaw in the program or an error in its design. What you have is a suggestion, not a bug. Please refer to the "Helpful Links to Get Started" section at the bottom of the Feedback page for instructions on how to submit your suggestion.

I hope I've made it clear that our comments in response are not meant to reject your suggestion in any way, other than as a bug report, and that our comments do not constitute an official response by Mojang at all.
