Mobile Players unable to join servers (mobile, switch, etc)

The 1.16.100 update states that it has fixed issues with mobile players. However, instead of becoming the fix for the few of our players who haven't been able to join the server for a couple of months, the update has now prevented any mobile player from joining the server.

What happens exactly when they try to join (error message, etc)?

I also encountered the same bug.

When I try to connect to servers or Realm, I get an error "You must be connected to Wifi to play with your friends."

This error message usually only occurs when "Settings > General > Profile > Use Cellular Data" is turned off, but it has always been displayed since the update v1.16.100.

Everyone who doesn't have Wifi continues to be unable to play in multiplayer. Due to this critical bug,Β small communities are on the verge of extinction. Please Fix it immediately.

That specific issue should be fixed with the 1.16.101 hotfix? What device are you using and have you updated to that version? If so, are you still getting the same message (with the Enable Mobile Data setting ON)?

so if there's a hotfix, why isn't the update available in the Microsoft store?

Β in addition, other people are having this same problem, so listen to them. the people on our server having these issues have not gotten back to us, so i cannot answer "what exactly happens", so take the other people commenting on this problem into consideration

The hotfix only applies to Nintendo Switch and "mobile devices" (Android, iPhone). None of those versions are in the Microsoft store.

Only two other people have commented. The first says it seems fixed, and the second reported a message that is being tracked as REALMS-6075. Once you do hear back from your server members, if they are indeed experiencing a different issue then feel free to create a new report.
