Creepers spawn in and around my house with torches surrounding it. Im doing everything according to wikis and guides to stop them from spawning, even going as far as torches spaced every 4 blocks but they've blown up my house for the 20th time. Every block around my house is above a 7 yet they still spawn on a block right next to my front door. I understand that Bedrock edition does not have a light level tool (among many other things Java edition has over Bedrock) as Bedrock edition is the neglected stepchild of your operation, so I am only assuming I am above light level 7.

Hi,
I don't know about other simulation distances but to my experience with mob farms at simulation distance 4 I know that no mob is allowed to spawn closer than in 16 blocks radius (including Y axis consider it a sphere).
I would recommend to search for possible spawning not only around your house but also above and bellow.
Can't get it to work? Tame a Cat, breed more, and place strategically around your house (I used this almost every new game as I don't usually construct anything before proper Mending tools)
