Every time I enchant an item from an enchanting table, that costes more than 3 levels it doesn't take the right about of XP doesn't matter how much lapis cost.
EX. An enchant that cost 6 only takes away 5 XP
Ex. An enchant that cost 4 only takes away 3 XP ,etc.

Works as intended.
For instance, a 'level 30' enchant (with full 15 bookshelves and 3 lapis) requires that you have 30XP levels, but will only take (or cost you) 1-3 levels.
To quote the wiki: 'the cost in levels depends on the enchantments, with highly enchanted items costing more.'
Upon closer inspection I was confused and have reopened this ticket.
The bug is in how many XP levels are removed when you enchant. The game seems to always reduce XP level by 1 for the first slot, 2 for the second and 3 for the third slot regardless of the XP cost displayed (green number at right of the enchantment slot).
Using Sammy's the 3 images from Oct 7/15, Sammy started at level 14, created the third enchant (bottom of the list) and was reduced to level 11. I think Sammy should have been reduced to level 8 because the XP cost (green number at right is 6).
Although it's possible that lapis lazuli reduces the XP cost, I tested where the XP cost for the third enchantment slot was 8 and my player was still reduced only 3 levels of XP instead of 8 (green number) or 5 (green number - 3 lapis lazuli).
Sammy, we definitely need more info on this ticket to help. First off, are you using the anvil or the enchantment table? If the enchantment table, you're probably also using Lapis Lazuli. Please provide more details.
