trade llamas arround my world causes high cpu usage.
i tp them to me (on land near worldspawn) and cpu usage drops to bottom.
then I tried to narrow down the cause by killing them one by one and I found
this weird thing.
when I try to get close to these two llamas on the ocean, the cpu usage drops according to the distance from them.
If I get close to them cpu usage drops to normal.
If I go far away then cpu usage peaks to top. ( well actually only one out of 4 cpu peaks to the top)
additional info:
command shows 19 of these llamas. and those are all within r=100.
and quite alot of those are in caves where I have never been. the rest are on the ocean.
the attached pics doesnt show much but each distance difference gets high / mid / low cpu usages.
I re-tested it with fresh backup having all 19 llamas. and shows same result.

I am not able to reproduce high CPU usage by getting farther from trader llamas as you describe. CPU usage may spike when you are moving or targeting many entities at one time with a command, but that is normal.

I was suspecting that pathfinding on water causes the issue. I had 30 or more llamas that was ok. Only these two llamas on water causes issues. Also baby turtles that are stuck on land causes same kind issue.(must be the pathfinding).

I was not able to reproduce high CPU usage with trader llamas on water, either. It may be that your CPU usage was higher in that spot because of other entities or blocks being rendered in the background.

I had about 100 wandering trader llamas stuck in an unexplored little cave under my main base area. I mean like 100.
whenever I would get within sim distance of them my PC would hang and then the frames would drop because my cpu would go to 100%
Finally today I had enough and I made a copy of my world and I went into spectator mode and you wouldn't believe what I saw... it was crazy. 100 llamas in a 10 block area. I took a video I had a great laugh. I can confirm that llama path finding is causing lag. I can send a copy of the world file if you want and give coordinates.
