Entered the end for the first time ever of 9 years playing Minecraft, to fight the ender dragon. The sky was a white TV static. All the end crystals except one were bedrock and the mobs were overworld mobs, hardly any endermen. Dragon flew around, took damage and was killed. An end city portal appeared but have not attempted going through yet.
This world is quite old and has to travel to find a portal.
Is there a way to fix this without starting a new world?

Ok, thank you, im not sure the world is that old but probably pre End.
The return portal looks like two portals on top of each other.
However I managed to kill the dragon and get the egg, and the city portals seem to be working fine with those areas looking as they should.
I'll have to just get used to my unique End.
Is this still an issue in the latest version?
This is a very unique look to the End. The static is actually the normal texture of the End skybox, but without the darkness overlay added onto it, it's very weird.
We made a new world on one of the versions of the game from 9 years ago and converted it to the newest version of the game, but the end looks... normal.
Could you export and attach the world file to the issue? Or upload it elsewhere and link it here?
For me it's still an issue. I created a world a month ago. Killed the dragon and traveled to th outer islands. I took some blocks from the spawn point in the outer islands. The I went back and forth through the portal and no problem. Went to look for the elytras and died before getting them. Next day I try again and it does not let me go in. Make a path to the outer islands my self and when I get to my portal there are at least 3-4 other portals on top. Attaching picture.

If I am understanding correctly, you have entered a world that you created 9 years ago. If that is true, the updates since then have overlayed enough that you have a glitched world. For example, the end dimension didn’t exist in the bedrock codebase 9 years ago, so it would make sense there would be overworld mobs. The two dimensions may have been combined. The only way to undo this effect is by reverting your game back to the version it was created in. Unfortunately, there is no easy way to do that in bedrock edition, and even if there was, as I said earlier, the end didn’t exist back then, so you would be stuck in a game that you cannot complete.
