I can't play lan services on Minecraft pocket edition. I even though we are on the same version and the same network

I have the same problem. Both devices are logged into Mojang/Microsoft accounts, and the devices both have the same version of Minecraft. The world shows up under friends, but then when you go to join it it says unable to join world. Before when that happened we just both briefly dropped the other person as friends and it worked fine, but this time it doesn’t work either way. The world is there from Xbox login, but not over wifi. It doesn’t even show up there. I tested with a different device not logged into an account and that one works to join, but the original two could not find each other over only wifi. Not sure if this is the same problem but it might be similar
I also have the same issue. I want to play multiplayer with a friend and I can see that he is playing on the “friends” tab, but I cannot join. We even tried inviting each other and accepting the invites. It just keeps saying “Unable to connect to world”. We have the same version (v1.16.201) and even tried restarting the app and devices. I even went to the extent of trying it other devices (ex. iPad, iPhone, Android) and still ended up with the same thing.

Please see if tips from MCPE-36190 will resolve your issue. If not, reply so the bug will reopen.
