To start, this is NOT a duplicate of MCPE-16946. This is not in relation to Oculus, this is related to OpenXR.
In most, if not all cases, the game refuses to open. or opens for half a second before instantly crashing. Unlike the referenced ticket, we don't ever see anything about updates or loading.
I've been messing around with some stuff, and it seems to potentially be an issue with the 'url' shortcut and SteamVR as I'm using an Index.
As there is no way to launch the game via SteamVR, this may be the issue. Is it possible we're able to get an exe in the files of Bedrock that allows us to add it to SteamVR to have the game launch, and be visible from SteamVR home? The "This can be made into a desktop shortcut, pinned to the start menu, bookmarked in a browser, or anything else you can do with a URL" can't be added to Steam in anyway, not through launching it using explorer.exe and setting launch options as the URL.

The stuff I've been messing with is methods to get it working. Setting up as a link, setting it up as a bat file, launching through Steam by launching the bat via CMD.
The BASIC solution which was advised in the original posting for the update done work, which is "minecraft://mode/?OpenXR=true" in a .lnk file. Doing this from desktop doesn't work. In most cases, Minecraft refuses to launch past the Mojang screen on SteamVR, or flashes the title screen for about half a second then closes.
Setting up the bat file through the CMD as shown HERE makes the shortcut viewable in steam, but not from within the SteamVR Home, which is really important for a lot of people since it allows easy access. Maybe adding the VR shortcut as something like an exe file from within the files of the bedrock version may help.
