even though i have not connected my microsoft account to anything i still cant sign in

Did you ever connect your PSN account to any Microsoft account? Because if you did, you cannot add any MS account again to PSN.
No even if you make a new microsoft account and connect it to my account it will still say "another account is already connected to this microsoft account"
That's because your current PSN account had to be connected to some MS account at some point. It is possible that one of these two could be disconnected from each other by mistake, please make sure for 100% that it is not like that.
Eventually, to fix your issue, you'd rather have to use a PSN account, that was never connected to any MS accounts (or create a brand new one) and connect it to an MS account that also was never connected to any PSN account (or, again, just make a brand new one).
