smite adds no damage to sword

smite adds no damage to sword minecraft.gamepedia.com reports Bedrock Edition, Diamond sword, Smite V, is a 20.5 damage is done per attack. I am trying to kill the wither in survival (hard) but with a damage of 7 this will not work.

Thanks

Smite only increases damage for undead mobs and since this doesn’t affect every mob, it won’t show a higher number. Although it would be good if it would say the damge to normal mobs and the damage to undead mobs at the same time, but that is a fearure request. Same thing applies to bane of athropods. Also see MC-93699
