There is an intense amount of block lag when mining. It even affects tools that are not enchanted. There was no issue until this latest bug fix update.

I also have the mining lag along with rubberbanding (blocks reappearing). Previous to this update, this lag would usually only occur with 2-3+ players online, and only in certain areas (usually near high-entity zones). Now the lag and rubberbanding is global, and happens with only 1 player online. Netherite pickaxe now feels like an iron pickaxe due to the reduced mining speed. Everything is sluggish though, not just mining blocks.
This is happening for me as well on a single player world. I never had any issues before this update. Some blocks reappear after being mined. I experience it with a haste beacon plus efficiency V pickaxe. I'm on Windows 10
@unknown Can you please confirm that you are experiencing block drop delay in 1.16.210? That issue was being tracked in MCPE-105892, but is reportedly fixed in that update.

I can confirm that I am experiencing issues with block drop delay in the latest update. I went mining in the nether, and the block lag was not as bad. It is interesting that it only affects blocks worse in the overworld. I would think that it would affect blocks across all dimensions.
Does MCPE-120971 describe your issue?
Are the blocks reappearing after being mined? If not, what kind of block lag are you experiencing?
