So i bought the app yesterday for my iphone 4, and by that time I couldn't erase anything, not even the name steve so i could write my own. After that i registered the name letxvsSTEVE17 but the chat is all black (screenshot). I can write and send messages, but can't see the chat while im writing.
And now, after the update I can't even enter any of the servers, because when i do enter i go straight to my ios menu and i have to open again the app. i can only enter my own world.

Thank you for your report! This issue was, however, reported at an earlier time as MCPE-11812. Feel free to add any information you find relevant in the comment section there.
If you did not do so this time, please perform a search to see if your bug has already been submitted prior to creating new tickets in the future.
Have you tried upgrading to V0.13.1 and pressing "Return" (on the keyboard), followed by pressing the "Back" button in order to enter text?
This procedure may allow you to enter servers again by putting in your password (albeit blindly); it works for me (on an iPad).
