Pieces of armor duplicate whenever put in an enchantment table, even if they are not enchanted while in the enchant table. I started with one of everything, including a chestplate. The chestplate did not duplicate, but everything else did. I am able to put this armor on like regular armor, take it off, put it in chests, etc.. Has only happened once.

I put each item in the enchant table, enchanted the chestplate, boots and leggings, then took them out. I put the helmet in the enchant table, didn't enchant it, then took it out.
