I bought the game back in March. I think. And I've never been able to join a Friend's world or they mine. Joining a server works fine, it's specifically a join a friend's world or inviting them to mine, that is the problem.
I have tried every known solution there is to find on the Internet. Disabling Firewall, Signing out and in, disabling my virus protection overall, trying it on a different Network, a different PC... a different CITY!!!!
I did not buy this game to not be able to play with friends online... I have also tried joining a friend who plays on mobile, switch, Playstation and PC. There is absolutely nothing I haven't tried. Is my account the problem?
If you need anything else to check my account, please ask. I contacted Minecraft Help and Prometheus there couldn't help me except send me some generic FAQs.

But I guess this is a duplicate and will be marked "resolved"? And linked to the original article... Even though the original hasn't been resolved yet

Please see MCPE-36190 for advice, as this is a common issue and most likely not caused by a bug. We can only help you with bugs. For other kinds of problems, such as those caused by settings and permissions incompatibilities, the best practice is to ask the community for help on the Minecraft Discord first, which will often result in a solution the same day. If they're stumped by the problem, that's the time to file a bug report, but the latter process is much slower.
Incidentally, the "Resolved" status reflects the state of the bug report, not the reported issue. The staff here only manages the reports, we don't fix the issues. A Resolved status means that we've finished everything we're supposed to do with the report. In the case of a duplicate report, that includes finding and linking the original and marking the duplicate.

Unable to join a Friend's world

Hi Auldrick,
When the official Minecraft "Support/Help" refers you to the bug report site so "the developers can see the issue directly", I actually expected to talk to Mojang employees.
I have read MCPE-36190 and I wouldn't have posted or would have deleted my post if that had fixed it. The issue is not my connection as I've tinkered with it enough myself. Also how would it that the same issue happens on 3 different network connections? Does every Minecraft player have to change their network settings for it to work properly? It's not my Xbox multiplayer/privacy settings, I've stared at the settings menu for hours on end.
Now I've been referred to Minecraft Discord to ask the community for help, which is just marvelous. Also, isn't it ironic how the post you linked is from 2018 and there is still no proper solution on the post?
What happens exactly when you try to join your friends' worlds?
