[MCPE-13238] Grass Not Growing Near Path Blocks

I'm playing on a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4. (SM-t230)

I'm not sure if this is a bug or not. Grass isn't growing/spreading next to path blocks I've made.

One dirt block finally grew grass right before I decided to report this after an hour of playtime. Nothing is covering these blocks. I'm unsure if the time it takes for grass to spread is intentionally this long, or if it's a bug.

This is a definite issue for me on current snapshot (running on OS X 10.11.5).

Several times I've tried to even out paths in villages - by digging random bumps down, or filling holes with dirt, but grass, even when next block over, never grows in again.
