Hi Mojang!
In the new version, 1.17 villagers are stealing each other's workstations. I can't link up a villager properly to a workstation because other villagers with no jobs after a bit of time take up that workstation and like this, it is basically impossible to trade with them. Villager trading is a very important part of Minecraft and being unable to link villagers to workstations also kills iron farms. On the picture that I attached there are three librarians and only two lecterns. I traded with two of them but the third one just took one of the workstations.

Cleaning up old tickets: This ticket had been set to 'Awaiting Response', but has not received a response from the reporter (~3 months+) so is being closed as Incomplete. If you feel this is still a valid issue then please comment, or create a new ticket following the Issue Guidelines which includes steps to reproduce the problem.

The villagers in the screenshot are quite crowded. It may be that they are blocking each other from reaching the workstations. If a villager cannot reach its workstation at work time then it will unlink so another available villager can try to use it.
Do you have any more specific steps to reproduce this problem, that would be unexpected?
