I've put several hours into my new world (Bedrock) before realizing that I've been seeing a lot more glow squids than I'm used to, and no normal squids at all. I am using the Cliffs and Caves features, in case there's anything to that.
(Seed: 1216515761)
My spawn point's right on the edge of the water - ocean, rivers nearby, ponds, puddles, flooded and underwater ravines... None of them are producing standard squids. Only glow squids. If you go coords (-305, -220), you'll find a flooded cave system. Almost always a few glow squids and the occasional axolotl. Never a standard squid though. And I've never seen one in the adjacent ocean.

Okay... All of that's in there already, but here it is again, anyway:
Steps to reproduce:
1.) Start a world with the seed I've already provided using the current version of Windows 10 Bedrock edition with the Cliffs and Caves feature activated - as pointed out above.
In case you're not given the same spawn point that I was, go to -295, 63, -125 to find the area I'm spending the most time in.
2.) Exist in the world for any length of time.
3.) Become increasingly aware of the complete absence of standard squid mobs under all conditions despite being literally surrounded by a full spectrum of squid-spawning environments the longer you exist in the world.
Observed results:
The fore-mentioned absence of standard squids which spurred the creation of this report.
I have added in-game screenshots of the variety of water environments in the immediate vicinity of the spawn point showing the lack of standard squids. I have also added one from the coordinates I included in the original post showing the glow squids in all of their these-are-not-standard-squids glory.
I would add a compressed copy of the world's folder to make absolutely certain none of the three, admittedly complex, steps above have been overlooked, but it is too large to upload.
There is no, "when I do the things, the bad things happen, too".
The original squid mob is not spawning. Ever. Under no conditions do they appear. Only glow squids. Not even once after 20+ hours in-game, across many real-world days, with full computer shutdown/restarts in between. I have traveled over 1500 block away from the spawn point and back again. This did not trigger the environment to reset and begin spawning squids. All of the expected aquatic mobs are spawning with the exception of the standard squid - which is conspicuously, and ubiquitously, absent at all times.

And if there's a precise template required for posting, then give us a precise template to copy from.
"You've included all the elements but didn't follow the precise template that we will not be providing. Please review these guidelines that show how you've already covered the bases while making no mention of this required template." is not helpful to either side.
I created a world with the given seed and teleported to the given coordinates. Found squid within 30 seconds at the mouth of the river there.
Normal squid only spawn on the surface, and glow squid only spawn underground, so they cannot spawn in the same places Only glow squids should spawn in the location shown in OnlyGlowSquids.png. Also, normal squid only spawn in rivers and oceans. NoSquids1.png shows a lake, so they are not intended to spawn there either.
The reason they are not spawning in rivers and oceans for you is most likely that the animal cap is full. Squid and dolphins share the "animal" surface population cap with land animals in Bedrock Edition. So if you have collected any naturally spawned animals near your base, that's why squid are not spawning. 4 naturally-spawned sheep, cows, horses or pigs, for example, is enough to block squid spawns for 64 blocks in each direction. The animal cap is reported to be lower than it should be, but Mojang has not said if that is intended yet: MCPE-98073.
