Possibly the same issue as MCPE-139345, but that was reported for XBox by two different users and we do not have enough information yet to know if this is the same bug or not.
Please try to provide more information about the problem.
Does this occur in all worlds, or just one world?
Does this occur in singleplayer, multiplayer, Realms, or a server?
Are you using any behavior packs, addons, or world templates?
Does it depend on how the coal/gold/iron was acquired, e.g. from mining, smelting, mob loot, creative inventory, or the /give command?
In which update/version did you get the coal/gold/iron items?
