Player can interact with entities through blocks with touch controls

This glitch works on any device that uses a touchscreen as input.

When walking, the last tapped spot will not get removed and moves with the player, even moving through blocks. This allows people to interact with entities, such as armor stands, mounts, and villagers that are behind blocks (due to there being no need for them to tap the screen).

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Select any equipable item/armor in your hotbar

  2. Stand a few blocks away from a wall with an armor stand, mount, or villager behind it

  3. Tap the block that the entity is behind

  4. Walk forward without tapping the screen (other than the movement buttons)

  5. Interact with the entity (without touching the hotbar)

Observed Results:

When walking forward, the Equip/Ride/Tame/Trade button will appear, and this button is fully functional.

Expected Results:

The Equip/Ride/Tame/Trade button should not appear.

This is the most bazaar glitch on the bug tracker that I’ve seen, I will probably reproduce this soon, as I have an iPad to do it on

I was able to recreate this! Confirmed 1.17.11.

I already had my suspicion and just confirmed it but this seems to work with anything that gets a button once targeted like mine arts (good secret base entrance)
