Fixed in 1.17.40.21 after removal of RenderDragon from the beta for mobile devices. Performance is back to normal. Thank you. (Samsung J701F/DS).

Actually this massive performance downgrade has been around version 1.16 and I literally can't play mc on my phone because of it

Pinesample, providing details of the device you are using would assist. There is a small subset of mobile phones that are unable to run Minecraft at all (Those with processors incapable of performing floating point calculations, if memory serves me right).
