Steps to reproduce
While in a local, singleplayer world, press the "Home" button on the Switch controller.
Wait a few seconds.
Select "Minecraft" from the Switch home page to reopen the game.
Expected result
You resume exactly where you left off. The game should suspend instantly when you go to the Switch home screen.
Observed result
Some time has passed in the game. If you were in a dangerous situation when you pressed "Home", you may be dead.
After going to home screen and coming back the time of day changed and i was attacked by mobs i had no control over the player and i used my totem and died, i could also heard mob and damage sounds.
