When I break something like a flower or sugarcane it gives nothing and makes no sound. On top of that, double block flowers and others do not break both pieces all together.

It may be because your connection is pretty bad causing the response of the game to be delayed. This happens to me everytime I go to home then return to the game, and mostly whenever I just join the world, it may take a while (like a minute or so) before you hear the sounds
