Is this still an issue in the latest version?
Do you use any texture or resource packs that can cause this behavior?

I've done some experimenting and learned something. When a villager is unemployed their biome texture seems fine but as soon as they get a profession their biome texture turns black. I suspected a texture stacking glitch so I tried giving a villager a job as a butcher and then turning the profession texture invisible on a resource pack. The results were... interesting.

This photo was taken on 1-17-25. Superflat world with no resource packs and global resource packe disabled. As vanilla as it gets. The issue appears to persist.
[media]I attempted an additional test and confirmed all textures work normally in Java Edition. So now I can narrow down the problem to Windows Bedrock Edition and just the biome textures.
