I open my minecraft world and it sits on "Loading resource packs" for about 5 minutes then the screen goes red and the game crashes.
However the world only has the default resources on it, i haven't added or changed any.
I have been using the world for about 350+ hours of playing time, the game is 590.3mb.
I tried it on 2 computers, the same result happened (both 8gb ram, 100g hardrive and similar graphics).
Then i tried it on another computer with 16gb ram, 1T hardrive and much better graphics. it very slowly got the world open, but nothing worked. Everything was so rediculously slow that i couldnt do anything. But when i got back out the game had jumped up to 614.6mb???

I have found a heap more copies of this same crash, and most of then have all been closed!
Do not close mine without a solution.
My game has said nothing about sending a crash report, nor has it probably had time because its crashed almost instantly.
THE FOLLOWING IS RESEARCH I HAVE DONE ON OTHER TICKETS. THE REASON I HAVE SAID "IT IS NOT THE SAME AS..." IS BECAUSE I DONT WANT MY TICKET CLOSED AS A "DUPLICATE". AND BECAUSE IT MAY HELP SOLVE THE PROBLEM. THIS IS IN CAPS TO STAND OUT.

it is on a server and is crashing the same way except it says there is no log file... and other people ^^^ have said it's because the log file is too large. But my log file is 0kb, and i didn't do that.

I have the same problem. The world weighs 323.8 mb and it crashes either when loading, or when playing for 10 seconds.

This problem has existed since minecraft version 1.17.0. Before loading new chunks from 1.17, the game behaves normally, but after that the game crashes mercilessly.

Also, my file size seems to be behaving strangely. Logged in, placed some blocks of sand which lagged, so I went and tried to get a bucket of fish, which also lagged and wouldn't work, so I went and traded some carrots for about two stacks of emeralds, lag was so bad I logged out. My file size went from 503mg to 560mg. Thought it was odd. Logged back in, put what was in my inventory in a barrel (several buckets and a bit of andesite) and logged back out. My file size jumped up to 597mb. Now my game will not even open or load without crashing.

I have a feeling it has something to do with log files... They keep popping up. My worlds log file is 0kb, some other players have log files that are 400mb... Strange.
