MCPE and WIndows 10 edition worlds do not appear

When world is running with Mulitplayer Games and Broadcast to LAN switched on, on both Window 10 Beta edition version 0.14.3 and Ipad 3 ME version 0.14.3, the worlds do not appear on the other device/computer.

I have tried:

  • turning off firewalls

  • restarting all wifi routers, devices, computers

  • being patient

  • Hosting on iPad, hosting on windows 10 computer

We are having the same problem on (2) Kindle devices. Broadcast to LAN and Multiplayer are both enabled on the Title page. In game they are greyed out we can't join. One we can see, but can't join. The other doesn't show up at all.

Yes - all switched on. iOS devices can see other iOS devices, and win 10 can see win 10 friends to invite (via Live), but no iOS to win 10 connectivity.

This sounds more like a connection issue than with MCPE. Thoughts?

I've tried MCPE/win 10 versions since cross platform compatibility was announced, with no luck. iOS and win 10 machines can connect to synch iTunes etc. Firewalls turned off. So tried to rule out connection issues.

On the forums I can only identify people who cannot connect from win 10 to iOS, or only intermittently (when everything is restarted and only for a while). There don't seem to be any users replying that they can connect. Has anyone successfully tested this functionality on a iPad Air 2 with latest versions of everything installed?

I have not tested an iPad Air 2, but I routinely test LAN multiplayer using the following three devices:

  • Samsung Galaxy S6 (SM-G920W8), Android 5.1.1

  • Asus B121 Tablet touch & pen enabled Win10 Pro x64 10.0.10586 build 10586

  • Apple iPad3 (MC705C/A) iOS 9.3.1 (13E238)

In testing, I've used each as host and only occasionally did I find that one device couldn't see another hosting. To fix, I generally just restarted MCPE on the client and I could then see the host. Since this worked nearly all the time, I've not paid much attention to it, but I will going forward.

[Edit]: It is worth noting that my devices each have fixed IP addresses in my network.

@unknown Let us know if that makes a difference when you do.

Yes, this is the only way I have (partially) experienced this issue. I can fix it with the above method, though.

@unknown please let us know if you still have this problem under 0.15.0. Many things have changed about multiplayer in 0.15. Here's hoping this one changed for the better.

Can you reproduce this on the latest version? (0.15.10)

This ticket has been resolved as 'Cannot Reproduce' as it has no response was received recently.
