I've tried MCPE/win 10 versions since cross platform compatibility was announced, with no luck. iOS and win 10 machines can connect to synch iTunes etc. Firewalls turned off. So tried to rule out connection issues.
On the forums I can only identify people who cannot connect from win 10 to iOS, or only intermittently (when everything is restarted and only for a while). There don't seem to be any users replying that they can connect. Has anyone successfully tested this functionality on a iPad Air 2 with latest versions of everything installed?
Yes - all switched on. iOS devices can see other iOS devices, and win 10 can see win 10 friends to invite (via Live), but no iOS to win 10 connectivity.
Yes - they are all on the same network. After I get back from holiday, I can try putting them on fixed IP. I would imagine that might help with reconnection more than initial connection. I will also try connecting win 10 to win 10 on the same network to rule out connection issues.
