I have noticed that Windows Edition Beta has been freezing when I click "Quit to Title". I have been playing for several hours today and the last time I loaded my world I noticed that several features I worked on, ie: a fenced in 9x18 wheat field, an added overhang created over my hidey hole entrance, and two areas where I planted Sugar Cane were gone, as if never done. I also upgraded my map from 0/4 to 1/4 between starting these features and completing them. The really strange thing is although my game seemed to revert to an earlier state, my map remained upgraded to 1/4. Something effecting the terrain/blocks did not affect my inventory.

That's exactly what happens when the game crashes (MCPE-12347) but in your case the game didn't crash, did it?
So I added a "relates to" link to it without closing as a duplicate.
I've also had the game freeze and crash when I click 'quit to title'

Sometimes when it "Freezes" I have to close the game and restart. That would be the time the game crashed on me. The game recovers from the freeze condition sometimes, maybe 50\50. Also I believe the freeze causes the game to not save the latest data so hence the lost terrain updates not being saved. The real puzzle is why then did the map upgrade save then😛

The game freezing is essentially crashing the game, since it requires a force quit (crashing the game on purpose) to fix, or crashes invisibly during the freeze.
