When signed in for the first time, it is ok. After that when I've closed the app and then re-open again, sometimes I can't sign in back! It says "We tried to sign you in to your Xbox Live account, but something went wrong.". Is it a bug at microsoft or the client? Please check that

Confirmed on Samsung SM-T520
Signed in successfully initially, but after restarting the MCPE app, it would not allow me to log in again.

OK having researched this a bit more, apparently it just takes a bit of time to log in to XBL.
When you open Minecraft, instead of hitting the "Sign In" button, just wait around 30 seconds for the button to change as pictured. You are then logged in and you can use the XBL functionality. (it remembers your login details from the first time you logged in)
[media]This should also enable you to open worlds that would crash after 10 seconds or so.

Ok, will resolve as Fixed if this fixes the problem for everyone. Please comment if Mega_Spud's above method for fixing doesn't work.

1. Don't work. need 3rd's party program for me to login to XBOX Account.
2. Are you try to login with WiFi or mobile data? Will NOT work if you use mobile data. Use third's party program if you want to login when using mobile data.

I cannot log in to Xbox live to start with on MCPE. I can log in on my Mac and on Xbox.com. I have created 3 other Xbox accounts and all of them say
Sorry, something went wrong. Give it another try, or try on Xbox.com
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Tom, please try these steps:
1. Go into settings>applications>minecraft and force stop the application.
2. Make sure your device is connected to wifi that is able to connect to the internet.
3. Start the app Minecraft PE and wait for one full minute without doing anything.
If, during this minute, the button that says, "Sign In" turns into a button that has a person with a speech bubble, click Settings, then check if your gamertag shows in the settings.
4. If, after a minute, it does not change, click on Sign In and proceed to sign in.
5. After signing in, if you get the error message, close the app (no need to force stop it), and repeat step 3.
If it doesn't work after those steps, please report back here to tell us this.
Thank you Tom! Hope this works for you!

Christian,
As I am on an iPad, do I just double click the home button and swipe minecraft closed to do the equivalent of force close?

Oh, sorry.
I hadn't realized that the update had rolled out for the iOS devices.
Yes, I beleive that a swipe would be as much of a close as you can get without a third party app.
The other steps should be unhindered by this lack of a feature.

Christian,
My friend has an iPad as well, and she downloaded the new update and was able to log in but she had to do it immediately after the download finished if that helps. I tried reinstalling the app but again, had no success.

MY SOLUTION:
I was seeing the following error messages on iPad:
"Make sure you're online, then try again. We can't connect right now."
"We tried to sign you in to your Xbox Live account, but something went wrong."
I was never able to login before, though... so my problem is slightly different than the description above.
I also tried installing the Xbox app but that didn't solve the problem (at least not initially).
I found that the problem was that my iPad had website restrictions enabled (so that only a dozen or so white-listed websites were accessible through Safari). Once I removed the website restrictions in the iPad settings, I was able to login to Xbox Live.
When doing so, it popped me into the Xbox app that I had just installed to login, so maybe that needs to be installed too?
Hope this helps.

It seems that I have the same problem but in my case, when I try to sign in, the Xbox Live crashes and it instantly take me back to the MCPE title screen. When I try to sign in again, it did the same thing. I hope that anyone have the solution on this problem.
