Villager spawn eggs used on grove, frozen peaks, snowy slopes and jagged peaks don't spawn snowy plains villagers

Summary:

Since all of these biomes are snowy, one would expect spawning snowy plains villagers on groves, frozen peaks, snowy slopes and jagged peaks.
This bug is fixed in java version MC-237791.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Get a villager spawn egg.

  2. Go to a grove, frozen peak, snowy slope biome and jagged peak.

  3. Use the spawn egg in those biomes.

Observed results:

Regular villager is spawned.

Expected results:

A snowy variant would spawn.

Can you please provide details on how you are checking your current biome?

In the Java version and the Bedrock version of the biome are completely identical in the same seeds. Just create a world in bedrock and in java with the same seed and find the desired biome in java.
And then move your bedrock player to the same coordinates as in Java. Everything) 🙂
