I went afk 130 blocks above the surface 80 blocks above my mob farm so the mobs only spawn in farm I got back and wanted to go to nether my portal was on the surface and o went through and instantly died to mobs that should've have spawned in overworld but insta killed me in the nether

Is it possible the mob spawned while you were coming down from your AFK spot? Could you provide a copy of the world save or screenshots of the locations?
