Bedrock still can generate below the old chunks after upgrading the world to 1.18 generation

I was exploring my 1.17 world on 1.18 beta and i noticed that some part of the chunks can generates bedrock from y 0 to y -64 on my 1.17 survival world. The other chunks have been upgrade properly, but only some of the old chunks can generates bedrock from y 0 to y -64.

Did your world have the Caves and Cliffs toggle enabled? If so, did you enable it before the 1.17.40 update?

Yes, the caves and cliffs toggle got enabled before but i turn it off again.

This is working as intended then. From the 1.17.40 changelog:

Added new world/cave generation when upgrading saved chunks below "Y=0" using the Caves & Cliffs experimental toggle

  • Chunks previously upgraded with Bedrock underneath will not see this change

This happened to me in old worlds on the actual 1.18 update when I upgraded my 4 year old creative world to 1.18, how can this be fixed and why does it say Working As Intended?

Just because this works as intended doesn't mean it doesn't deserve a fix. Can you please release a fix that detects all bedrock where it should not be and converts it to deepslate?

While your at it can you fix the giant void gaps I have on my world . Release a fix that converts all air blocks at -64 to bedrock. Please thank you
