On galaxy s6 there is repeated crashing within ten seconds of loading a world. Multiple retries finally let you play. Crashing doesnt occur after this unless a new world is loaded. Also the game regularly crashes when closing a world. Some recently gathered items and a recently ridden horse will then disappear when you reload the game.

Does this affect only specific worlds or seeds? Can you start a creative flat world, spawn and ride a horse without crashing?
It seems to occur irrespective of worlds or seeds. I haven't noticed it as much when creating a new world, but mainly when reloading worlds. And the crashing on load occurs intermittently. Also I would point out that the worlds I am trying to reload were created in beta 0.15 build 1. I notice that if I wait ten to fifteen seconds on the title screen that i don't seem to have the issue loading worlds. However when i close the world the app crashes to the home-screen almost every time.

update 6/7 - may be related to MCPE-14641. I will keep testing.
I haven't found a stronghold in this map yet - it's just my test map that I haven't explored much of, and I haven't seen any villages in the vicinity. The seed is 226178947.
I believe this issue is related to playing a map where you have previously been logged into Xbox Live. As a result, waiting a few seconds (30) for the game to connect to XBL when you first open minecraft means you can open the map succesfully again. Please see MCPE-14515 for more info.
As a result, I think this issue is a Duplicate of MCPE-14727
