Boat and Mule keep disappearing when exiting boat.

Hello, I keep having the problem of my boat and mule disappearing while I exit the boat. It tends to happen if I am rowing fast and stop the boat close to land. A few times the game glitches out and I just see the mule flashing around the screen. I usually have to exit the game and reload my world and my boat will be where I exited it and my mule will be in the boat.

Aside from that, is it in the works to be able to add leather armor to mules so that they won't freeze? I prefer to travel by mule, but with the new update I've had a few mules freeze to death.
