Steps to reproduce:

  1. Create a world with the Vanilla Experiments toggle enabled

  2. Place some Gravel and place a Sculk Catalyst on top of it

  3. Kill some entities near the Sculk Catalyst

Expected result:
Sculk blocks should replace Gravel

Why should he replace gravel? It does not replace sand, so why should it replace gravel. I think such issues need to be resolved after the release of Sculk-blocks in Java. 😉

Gravel spawns below y0, so, it wouldn't make sense if killing a mob near Gravel wouldn't replace it with Sculk.

RondiMarco let me get in the Java 1.19 snapshot real quick and see if it changes gravel.

Also, think of gravel in the real world. Gravel is really tiny rocks.

Sculk in the latest beta still doesn't replace red sandstone and colored variant of terracotta.

Only cobblestone is left to be fixed in the 1.18.30.26/27 beta preview...

Cobblestone is WAI per this comment, so I've removed it from the description.
