Yesterday when I was making an xp farm in a dungeon, I accidentally waterlogged the spawner and the mobs no longer spawn, even after removing the water. The spinning mob in the spawner is also gone
Step to reproduce:
Place a spawner and put a mob to spawn in spawner
Check if the mob spawns
If it does, then waterlog it and remove the water
Expected results:
The mobs will still spawn
Observed results:
The mobs will no longer spawn

I’m having a similar issue. Skeleton spawner was working, but now no longer spawns in total darkness. There is no spinning animation either.
I did not waterlog but did place blocks above and below. There was once a torch on the spawner as well.
This is in 18.2, on Realms.
edit to add: visited the spawner today and it’s now working. I made no changes.
