For a long time now, tamed wolves have been ignoring player and not teleporting ever since they started chasing skeletons. They don't teleport back to the player soon enough and will die bc their whereabouts are unknown. They completely ignore the fact they should be following their player.
1. Spawn in a wolf, tame the wolf. Spawn in a skeleton.
2. Do not attack the skeleton. Wolf chases after them even though it doesn't attack you or the wolf.
3. Watch the wolf attack the skeleton unprovoked.
4. Watch the wolf run after the skeleton.
5. Run away and see that your wolf is still chasing the skeleton and won't follow you
Expected: Chase skeletons a little, but if they get too far away they turn back towards the player. Or they teleport to the player after a short distance. Player runs away and wolf follows the player instead of a skeleton.
What happens: Tamed wolves continue to chase after skeletons and not follow the player.They will often chase the skeleton until they die or finally teleport back to the player eventually.

Added steps to reproduce and some clarity. Tamed wolf chases skeletons without provocation and therefore will not follow player.
Did you attack the skeleton, or did it attack you? If so, tamed wolves are supposed to attack it until it is killed (or the wolf is killed). Otherwise, please include a list of steps that someone else can follow to reproduce the bug.
