Mobs such as horses and villagers seem to despawn almost at random usually in small groups of about five at a time this doesn't happen all the time but I regularly return to find half of my villagers gone (they are in an enclosed space on peaceful mode)
How to reproduce: I'm not entirely sure what causes it but my guess is that it occurs either upon unloading and reloading the mobs, or upon closing and reopening the world, it also may have something to do with me leaving my world open for long periods of time.
this issue or similar issues has been put on the bug tracker before however they are marked as "resolved" which is simply untrue.

If an issue is Resolved it does not mean that it is Fixed. Please always look a the Resolution. The previous issues are resolved as Duplicates (probably of MCPE-144208).

Please attach a screenshot of the area where villagers despawn with coordinates turned on. If possible, it would also help to get copies of the world from before and after villagers have despawned. Finally, please clarify whether the console is going to sleep or disconnecting from the internet when you leave the world open for long periods of time, and try to specify how long you leave it running.
My console is not as far as I can tell going to sleep although sometimes my account becomes "disconnected" although as far as I can tell that doesn't my account disconnecting does not seem to correlate with the villagers/horses disappearing
The screenshot of the horses is all that are left (there were 20 prior)
And the screenshot of the villager area was after repopulating them, not all of them disappeared, they are in an enclosed space and they couldn't have been killed by zombies or anything

Thanks for the screenshots. Based on the coordinates and the size of the enclosures, I think it is very likely that the mobs losses you've experienced are related to the mobs crossing chunk borders between saves or autosaves. (Chunks are 16 x 256 x 16 pieces of the world, and save data is stored by chunk.) Mob loss related to mobs crossing chunk borders is tracked at MCPE-21416 so I am going to resolved this report as a duplicate. Please vote for that report and watch it for any updates.
