Like that isnt what the problem is with the issue i reported. Their issue was about climbing ladders and mine was about them losing all ability to pathfind when they are standing next to one but go off i guess
So to be clear this bug makes it impossible to build or detail using snow layers, since they get deleted after an indeterminate amount of time meaning that snow layers are useless on bedrock except for temporary ambience
I just wanted to let everyone following this report know that if you download the world and then change all the settings right using/gameral and then reupload it which if you're the real owner is very easy to do it will save all of your game rules settings so unless you're changing them regularly it won't be an issue for you if you want coordinates to show up every time or if you want command block out put always be off you don't have to add a command block to turn it off constantly. Just download the world edit the settings and then re-upload it
Not fixed as of 1.19.12
Well since you guys declared my post about how you can no longer read command blocks at all a duplicate of this issue even though it isnt, i guess i should try my best to alert you to the fact that xbox command block users can't read what they are typing into the window making it much more difficult to edit or even write command blocks the only way around this is to copy and paste the contents of the command block into chat edit it there, and then copy the chat command and paste it back into the command block. this basically locks xbox users out of using command blocks, and literally does if you play on controller.
If you dont think this is a big deal write me a comment saying why, but every time you want to type turn off your monitor and start the courser at the end of the comment, oh and make sure you dont misspell anything or miss any punctuation. Because if you do good luck trying to fix it.
While my earlier post is funnier i just hope they dont write yours off as a duplicate of a different issue like they did for me
Wait until you guys try and edit a command block post 1.20.11 🙂
I do not believe that my report was a duplicate of this issue i have put a comment on my post explaining why
Ummm nope that is not in fact the same issue. I was well aware of that issue, case and point during last update i was actually able to read what i was typing from the, granted tiny window at the top of the xbox keyboard now i am not able to do that an thus am completely and utterly incapable of reading any amount of my command while editing it. Which i would argue is a substantially different thing
So as a possble temporary work around for masochists who desire to suffer through this:
If you hold ctrl+shift+"back arrow"
Until you reach the beginning and then press ctrl+c you can copy the text into chat by pressing ctrl+v in the chat inteface
Although, you will need to do this, EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. YOU. NEED. TO. MAKE. AN. EDIT. TO. YOUR. COMMAND.
but thats fine cause every coder knows that everything you write workd 100% correctly on the first try without any bugs, 🙂
Oh btw if you are doing command blocks on controller you are simply screwed no work around that i can think of just dont make any mistakes 🙂
Um no the armorstands one and only purpose is to increase the minimum number of entities to 10 because it is not guaranteed that it would be the case on a new world especially a superflat, the command i gave translated to english says: tell 10 entities to each tell 10 entities to each summon a pig at position 0 0 0
If 10 entities each tells ten entities to each summon. A pig then 10x10=100 so 100 pigs
This occurs if you spawn mobs with a repeating cmd or with spawn eggs honestly i just really like that trick i used which is why i used it in the instructions
The issue is that the behavior is incredibly strange like someone forgot a minus sign
if you dont want to maually recreate. it i can record and attach a video of it
Can confirm been a bug for a while now
It seems like This only affects blocks and tools because I can get it to work with music discs but not with quartz blocks or swords
I've now seen this happen on a realm that was not originally created on the Xbox 1 edition
In case it's relevant I play with keyboard and mouse with Xbox one I'm pretty sure it still happens with controller too
Here's the video
As of 1.19.70 the attenuation goes down to the minimum value given instead of 0 but resets to the maximum value once past 32 blocks,
rather than attenuating to 0 and resetting to the minimum value after 32 blocks
This can also apparently happen with swords but you need to advanced pick block the reference container and put either the container or the sword that was in the copy in the tested area
Ps trying to come up with the rules that this bug seems to follow is like trying to herd cats it feels extremely inconsistent but I think the rules that I have provided work at least in these two specific cases
I have no idea why an exact copy of something means it's incompatible and a non-exact copy means it is compatible when it comes to the swords, at the very least a crafted potion and a creative inventory potion being different makes sense. My guess for this issue is that it's another one of those sheared leaves and silk touch leaves being different type of bugs and it hasn't been noticed until now because it only affects non-stackable items and non-stackable items not being in the same stack is not a problem
This bug also occurs on xbox one, and it is likely due specifically to the fact that the game sometimes considers two separate non stackable items to be different items example a potion of strength brewed by hand is considered different from one pulled from the creative inventory
This just happened to me survival 1.20 on windows
