The xbox downloaded the latest official update recently and I was playing for most of the day. While flying with an elytra, the application crashed and kicked me back to the home screen. It made an autosave while flying, so I have tried to spawn back in. Every time I try the application crashes. Sometimes I am able to start moving before it crashes. Others it crashes before the loading screen is complete. My other worlds load just fine. This one does not. I have hard and soft reset the xbox to attempt to fix the issue, but no luck. Even a copy of the world will crash the application. 170 mb save file. Since the whole application crashes, I am unsure what errors could be occurring and I am unsure if any error messages are being sent out.

Same problem here. After a couple of seconds of the world being launched, the screen goes blank and Minecraft crashes. It is just one of my worlds that causes this problem.

Is anyone able to provide a copy of the affected world?
On Windows 10 you can use the Export world feature.
On Android or iOS you need to use a file explorer to navigate to Device storage > games > com.mojang > minecraftWorlds
On Xbox or Switch the only way is to upload it to a Realm, and then download the world on Windows 10 or Android/iOS. (Please do not purchase a Realms subscription just to provide a world to us - but if you have a Realm already this may be a viable option if you wish to do so.)
If the world is larger than 10MB you can upload the world to OneDrive or a similar file sharing site, and then share the link.

I am using Android. I have used the File explorer to navigate to the minecraftWorlds folder as you have described. My world is not there so I cannot provide a copy, but strangely the backup of my world that I made in November last year is there. The issue is not resolved.

I do not have a subscription and am on xbox. If there is another way to get you a copy of my world I would do so with instructions.

I tried it again a few minutes ago and it is still occurring. It's a personal world and I don't have a realms subscription. Strangely enough, I have been able to get into an old creative world that I ported from my 360 with no issues. Perhaps it has something to do with the size of the file.

I have a piece of information that may be really helpful: I was able to get my world to crash in this way consistently. I had an underground room where I planned to have 6 Shulkers, for a farm. However, when I moved the 6 Shulkers into the room, logged out, and logged back in, the world would always have that chunk unloaded for a few seconds, and then would crash. I also had 6 Snow Golems and 6 Minecarts with Hoppers in there. Maybe this bug has something to do with Shulkers?

Altho my entire game doesn't crash (using Windows), it's just the world that completely freezes and lags.

It freezes or crashes the game on XBOX. Of course when it freezes you manually force close the game application. I hope they get it fixed soon barely got to play yesterday and day before was family members birthday and didn't get to log any time really. 3 days of no minecraft !! Recently been introduced to the game and starting to really enjoy the survival mode.

I seem to be having this issue now too since a few hours ago. I was playing earlier fine, I took a break for dinner and when I came back it just freezes and closes. I tried clearing cache and reinstalling, it doesn't work.
