Inventory slots copy each other leaving less slots available.

In creative mode, my inventory slots decide to copy each other instead of holding their own separate item. For example, if I have a dirt block in one slot, two other slots will decide to show dirt blocks too. This is highly frustrating because it leaves me with less slots available, and I have to keep going to the item menu to select something I want, on a slot that isn't copying another. The slots that copy each other are not only the ones shown in my attached video, they switch around so at one point or another, all of them have done it. I don't really know if I'm describing this well enough so I included a short video I took of the game running on my ipad. As you can see, I only want one of the items I'm selecting, but I keep getting three as they are showing up in other slots too!
