I am writing to inform you that on Minecraft Xbox Preview version 1.19.10.21 beta, the Xbox on-screen keyboard does not automatically adjust to the location of the signs or chat, meaning if I placed a sign to type text the on-screen keyboard would be in front of the sign or chat, and I would not be able to type or see what I am typing in chat or on the sign. For example, I placed down a sign and the keyboard popped up directly over the sign, leaving me to guess what I'm typing and where, as it's not supposed to do that but instead should be below the sign when you're typing so that you can see the sign and the keyboard at the same time, so you'll know what you are typing and how many characters you have left in the sign.

Having a similar issue on the current 1.19.2 live version on Xbox
Everytime I place a sign on a wall, the keyboard UI obscures the sign, so I am unable to see what I am typing. Pressing the = button (which should add a carriage return) instantly pops me out of the keyboard UI

This is now an issue in the live version of the game v1.19.31. it seems to have started after the recent update. The Xbox default keyboard pops up making you have to type in the small window above the keyboard and not directly onto the sign. This also happens with the chat / command window

I am experiencing the same exact issue as Mr Duane Ingrouille. Everytime I try to type anything, whether chat, command etc, it brings up the xbox keyboard and fully stops me from editing an already existing command, I am the head admin on a large skygen on bedrock and I have a lot of commands to fill out this week, however, doing that will be a pain and take triple the time due to this bug. It didn't happen before and only became an issue after 1.19.31. Please fix this soon and it is becoming annoying

This issue is almost fixed, just please allow us to hit the enter button on our controllers/keyboards to DIRECTLY send messages in chat again, rather than having to click the little arrow at the bottom right corner of the in-game chat menu. Basically, when we hit the enter button either on a keyboard or controller (3 lines button on controller, enter key on keyboard), whatever message we have typed should immediately send in chat, rather than us having to press the arrow button at the bottom right of the in-game chat menu. And yes, as previous commenters stated, please address the more important issue here; MCPE-159777

Additionally when using a physical keyboard you still have to click the text box in chat before you can start typing instead of being able to type as soon as chat is opened
