End Crystals Move in Opposite Direction Pushed by Pistons

When placing the end crystal moved by piston, they go the opposite way than pushed (See video)
Use set up in video to recreate
How to Recreate:
Piston attached to Redstone clock
Place end crystal in front so it gets pushed (into obsidian)
Sometimes they go the wrong way!

The video appears to show the piston trying to push the end crystals into a trapdoor that has obsidian behind it. In that setup the trapdoor cannot move, so the end crystal cannot be moved in the push direction either. Probably what happens is that the end crystal stays in its place when the piston extends and ends up inside the piston head. Then when the piston head retracts it pulls the end crystal with it so that it goes inside the piston and obisian on top, and the crystal continues to glitch out of those blocks and up out of the observer because it has momentum in that direction.
Please update the report with the current Affected Version if this is still an issue for you.
Can you upload an example world with the exact setup? We could not reproduce by reproducing the setup.

When you say they go "the wrong way" that does not tell us either what you think is "wrong", nor what you expect should happen.
Please edit the Description and fill in the two missing sections (Observed, and Expected).
