Night Vision Potion cancelled by Darkness effect

When drinking a Night Vision 8:00 potion and then activating a Sculk Shrieker's Darkness effect, after the Darkness effect is done the Night Vision potion effect fades away soon after.

Steps to Reproduce:{*}{*}

  [Step 1] Drink a Night Vision 8:00 potion
  [Step 2] Immediately activate a Sculk Shrieker
  [Step 3] Wait for the Darkness effect to end, and the potion will quickly end after

Observed Results:

The Darkness effect animation plays normally and fully. Immediately after it ends, the Night Vision potion indicator in the HUD begins to blink and the Night Vision effect runs out.

Expected Results:

The Darkness effect animation fades away and the Night Vision 8:00 potion will continue working until it's 8:00 timer runs out.

Notes:

I have not summoned the Warden in my world yet, so I'm not sure if this also happens with the Warden's Darkness effect. I have only tested this with Darkness from the Shriekers and with the Night Vision 8:00 potion.

This did not happen every time I activated a Shrieker, but it did happen most times. I could not figure out what caused it to trigger. I made sure to test this right after drinking a potion so that I could rule out the 8:00 timer running out.

6 out of 8 times the potion effect faded away.

Tested from both my Switch and Windows 10 versions of the game. This happens in a world created on 1.19.2.
