I don't know if this is intended or not, but it kinda doesn't make sense that you can use Crimson and Warped Stems (Nether Wood) to craft a (Soul) Campfire, since Nether Wood isn't burnable.

However, this issue is Working as Intended.
The report you have submitted is working as intended. As mentioned in the comment above, MC-172279 was fixed in the Java Edition, so this feature is in parity with Java now.
Please note, that mechanics of the game may change between updates.
Things such as graphics, sounds, world creation, biomes, redstone, villagers, and animals may not work the same in current versions.

It most likely works as intended. In Java version in the first versions when nether stems or hyphae were added they couldn't craft campfire out of them, but this was fixed later (see MC-172279).
