Game won’t load character

This is a constant issue that happens everyday and gets much worse at night.It doesn’t matter if I’m connected to spectrum cable internet a cellular based WiFi box or a mobile hotspot on a different plan all of which have fast internet that no other game has issue with. At the very least let me set which default character to load. I’m sick of having to restart the game because I got Alex. Her textures just don’t look nice at all to me and I’m not gonna stare at her pale arm sticking out for the whole time I’m playing. The cherry on top is how often it tells me software closed because of an error when I close it to restart.
