Location:My new Windows 10 Edition Realm. Conditions:Survival;Peaceful. Realm Age:New,1 Week old. I have two 9x9 wheat plots with a water source in the center of each one. I have planted wheat seeds at these locations several times in the past few days with no problems. Yesterday I found 5 blocks in a 2x3 area of one field only, in which the seeds "uprooted" and were floating above the ground, the soil still "hydrated". I attempted to replant the seeds but they would just uproot again within a span of 1 second up to a few minutes. At no time did the seeds develop to the next stage of growth. I removed and replaced the soil and used a hoe to till the soil. I then waited for the soil to get hydrated, determined by the color of the soil getting darker. I then tried to replant the seeds again and again the seeds popped out of the ground. It has happened to only these 5 blocks and nowhere else in my fields.

Indeed. Please describe the lighting conditions. Alternatively light the heck out of the area with torches and let us know if the problem is still there or not.
The wheat field is located outside of my house. I removed a tree that was located in the field and the 5 blocks have started to grow again. It is just funny that I have been planting and harvesting several crops before this started to happen. So why all of a sudden does the tree become a problem? But at least I can grow them again. Thnx for the "light level" comment. I would never have thought to look at the tree as a problem. FYI, it was an Oak Tree. Maybe Dev needs to look at how leaves effect outside light levels.
@unknown Could you please check if this still happens after 15.3 is released? Related bug fix is currently for 15.3 Android users but it is possible it affected this issue as well.
Affects 15.4, didn't happen in 15.2 for me. Funny thing is I thought it was the world. Maybe it was, but when I loaded a backup (backed it up the last time I played conveniently enough) it didn't happen again. Restarted the game, still couldn't replicate. And it only affected my potatoes and beets in the same farm separate from the carrots and wheat. Windows 10 Edition so I never got 15.3.
Specimen in question, not sure how you reenact me updating the game though. I also updated Windows from the last stable release to the latest Insider preview, though I doubt that has anything to do with it.
probably WAI, there may not be enough light.
