Minecraft split screen is nearly unplayable. When one player opens a menu the other is frozen. Breaking blocks freezes players, walking freezes players. When they move again they are randomly skipped around. Have been killed by the serious lag and glitches cj ing. It has been getting progressively worse with every update to the game. Wish we could have Editions back….it was flawless.

Most issues are incorrectly marked as duplicate of this issue. There is a new issue about action break, NOT A DUPLICATE of another "lag" or "crosshair" issues (MCPE-123918, MCPE-168206).
Action break issue was already reported by multiple people (MCPE-168571, MCPE-168693, MCPE-168610).
Since update 1.19.71 (70?) during local split screen, when the second player opens any UI (interaction screen, chest, inventory, etc.), it will make player one stop doing any current action (mining, digging, and wood cutting etc.).
Example: player one can be mining and when second player opens there inventory it stops player one, until player one re-initiates action. It makes it difficult to play when always having to stop. It only affects player one as we have tested it both ways and the issue did not appear until the newest update. Single player world, local split screen.
