Upon reentering a world I had been in only a few hours ago, I noticed that a bunch of blocks have disappeared. These were not blocks that had been placed when I was last in the world, although I had been working in close proximity to the missing blocks. I had placed some scaffolding in the area, which has also disappeared (and my inventory is reduced, reflecting that I had placed the scaffolding when I was in the world a few hours ago). In the attached screenshot, the oak planks were previously filled in all the way to the stone wall, the oak logs were complete between the chiseled stone bricks, and there was a lantern hanging in the same position as the other two pictured, but it was beneath the oak logs that have disappeared. These missing blocks are in addition to the scaffolding that is missing (it was placed on top of the oak planks).

Sorry, I meant to include that it is a single player world. I only play locally on my Switch, not on Realms or anything else. Yes, I always press + on the Joy Con and then "Save and Quit." Then I wait for the worlds screen to load it's thumbnails, press B to get to the main menu, then press the Home button on the Joy Con and X out of Minecraft.
This issue seems to be fixed and Minecraft, in general, is running better for me now in the 1.19.70, 1.19.71 updates. Thank you!
Is this a single player world or multiplayer?
Did you save & quit to the main menu before closing the game?
